HoloProâ„¢ = Light redirection with HOEs
Holography does not create 3D effects in HoloPro™ but "pure“ light redirection: the beam of light from the projector hits the HoloPro™ at a certain angle (36° at the centre of the screen), which then directs the light from precisely this angle to the viewer. Light (such as ambient light) from any other angle is not directed towards the viewer. This characteristic, together with the high light efficiency that also results from this, makes HoloPro™ suitable for daylight.
Setting up the projector and the HoloProâ„¢ screen correctly is crucial for the quality of the picture because if the projected beam hits the HoloProâ„¢ at the wrong angle it will not be redirected to the viewer at an optimum angle. For this reason, prescribed distances (geometries) must be adhered to. We have compiled some set-up examples as a download.
