HoloSign - Living Facades

HoloSign does not show pictures projected by a projector: a fixed motif is deposited in the HoloSign screen. This motif is illuminated via a homogenous source of light (it can also be the sun) in highly intensive colors: the white light is diffracted into its spectral constituents by holographic optical elements (just like a rainbow). The colors generated change when the source of light or the viewer begins to move. This characteristic is extremely effective and perfectly suitable for the artful decoration of facades or for light advertisement.

The illumination facilities of G+B pronova GmbH allow the conversion of any given design into holographic displays, which are composed of a variety of small spectral colored pixels. Texts are also possible but certain colors cannot be maintained - as is frequently required in corporate designs, for instance - since the colors are variable.

HoloSign can be made of any glass (e.g. SCG). The color effects are not visible from the backside, which means that even windows can be decorated with HoloSign. The windows remain transparent from the inside.

HoloSign can also be used in facades: the elements have undergone special material testsfor water resistance, UV protection and mechanical load capacity.
Two world-famous HoloSign installations have been designed by the artist Michael Bleyenberg. HoloSign in photographic quality: now with pixel size of just 0.2 mm too!

Until now, the resolution of a graphic that could be used in HoloSign was limited by a minimum pixel size of 5 mm. But this minimum pixel size has now been reduced to 0.2 mm! This means that where HoloSign previously had one dot, it now has 625. And where a resolution of 200 x 200 pixels could previously be accommodated in one square metre, there are now 5000 x 5000 pixels available.
Graphics and texts can now be shown without any "staircases" steps or visible raster grid. It is also possible to integrate several pictures for different viewing directions into the screen so that a change of the viewer's position not only changes the colours but the entire picture.
